MILWAUKEE - The UW-Milwaukee Women's Cross Country team has earned a selection to the Women's Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches Association (WICCCA) All-American team. They were honored with distinction.

The Panthers rank 18th out of 317 Division I programs, boasting a cumulative grade point average of 3.44.

In total, 109 schools were honored by the WICCCA for having a 3.0 grade point average or above. 69 programs garnered "with distinction" honors, which were given to those programs who had grade point averages of 3.25 or higher.

The Panthers rank second in the Midwestern Collegiate Conference behind Butler, who was ranked ninth nationally. Other MCC programs earning "with distinction" honors include Detroit Mercy (30), UW-Green Bay (39), Wright State (47) and Loyola Chicago (54).
