Three seniors wrap up their careers with the Panthers. Nov. 13, 1999 TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women’s cross country team was not able to top its school-best 13th-place finish from last year at today’s Great Lakes Regional Championships, settling for a 20th-place overall finish at the race in Terre Haute, Ind., with 515 points in a field of 30 teams. The men turned in a 22nd-place finish in a field of 28 teams with 634 points. UW-Madison was the top team finisher in both the men’s and women’s races with 51 and 30 points respectively. Sophomore Brianne Peterson (Plymouth, Wis.) led the Panthers with a 59th-place finish in 18:29.20 on the 5,000-meter course. On the men’s side, junior Aaron Nodolf (Monroe, Wis.) topped the Panthers again, finishing the 10,000-meter course in 54th place in a time of 32:21.10. Three members of the UWM men’s team ran their last cross country races as Panthers, seniors Stephan Schmidt (Milwaukee, Wis.), Ryan Powell (Marhall, Wis.) and Matt Finger (Menomonee Falls, Wis.).
