UWM Cross Country: Had a strong 2000 season, consistently rising up both the team and meet standings…went from being the team’s fifth runner at Pre-Conference to being the team’s top runner at the Great Lakes Regionals…took 11th at the MCC Championships…ran the Great Lakes course in 22:34.7, finishing 63rd…a consistent, talented runner throughout the past three years, Pozel has been a captain for two years and will be looked to as a team leader both on and off the course.


UWM Track: Had injuries and didn’t run the outdoor season, but ran the 400, 800 and1000 during the indoor portion of the schedule…posted an 800 time of 2:19.26 at the MCC Indoor Championships; Pozel finished second to UIC’s Monieka Thompson, who broke the conference record…took fifth in the 1000 at Indoor Conference with a time of 3:07.69…finished the 400 with a time of 1:01.29 at the Pre-Conference Tune-Up...also ran a 2:17.81 800 at the Iowa State Classic.


Case: Won four varsity letters, all in cross country…was named Racine County’s athlete of the year while a member of the Eagles.


Personal: Daughter of Daniel…wants to find a career counseling young adults…has done vounteer work at a local soup kitchen.
