UWM Cross Country: Made an immediate impact as a freshman, working his way into the top five in every meet…made his first big statement at the Briggs & Stratton Run, taking 25th and running a season-best 8K time of 27:31…posted a 27:36 time at the conference meet, placing him 35th…with one year of experience, Kivioja has the potential to drop his times by a large amount as a sophomore.


UWM Track: Ran the 800 and the 1000 in his first year UWM…posted a personal indoor best time of 1:59.91 in the 800 at the Smith Barney Invitational in Indianapolis…was able to lower that 800 time to a 1:58.50 in the outdoor season at the Drake Relays on April 28.

Grafton: Lettered nine times at Grafton — four times in track, twice in cross country, twice in basketball and once in soccer…qualified for state as an individual while helping his team to the title of runner-up at the state meet…led the Blackhawks to two 3200 relay state titles, breaking the Division 2 state record in the process…also helped the ‘hawks to the 2000 WIAA Division 2 Track State Championship…was a point guard and a captain on the basketball team…started at midfielder on the soccer team.


Personal: Personal: Son of Rodney and Diane…sisters Lisa and Jamie swam for UWM in the past…lists hunting and playing guitar among his interests…worked as a landscaper in Cedarburg, Wis. for a number of years.
