UWM Cross Country: Was the third runner throughout the 2000 season for the Panthers...a factor in the Panther roatation all four years...has been a consistent counter since his sophomore year...made his way into the league's top 20 last year after taking 44th and 47th in his first two seasons...with strong runners expected in the one and two spots of the Panther rotation, Jelinski's ability to run with the leaders might make the difference for UWM in 2001.


UWM Track: Has run the middle distances for the Panther tracksters...ran the 1000 in 2:32.91 to win the UWM Pre-Conference Tune Up...posted a personal best of 3:58 in the 1500 at the MCC Outdoors as a junior.

Green Bay Notre Dame: Lettered in track...earned all-conference and all-county honors three times...won the WIAA State Championship in both the 1600 and the 3200 while a Triton...was also a city champion in the 800 and the 1600...helped the Tritons to the Fox River Valley Track Championship as a senior.


Personal: Son of Rick and Mary Jo...majoring in Business and Political Science with a goal of going to law school...lists fishing, biking and boating among his many interests...a two-time scholar athlete with mention on the Dean's List...acted as a fundraising chair in Habitat for Humanity as one of his volunteer experiences.
