UWM Cross Country: After one of the most successful freshman campaigns in school history, was the top runner for the Panthers throughout most of 2000…highlighted her sophomore season at the MCC Championships, taking third and finishing just five seconds off champion Jessica Kuhr’s pace…earned MCC Womens Runner of the Week honors September 12 on the strength of her 18:53 course record time at the Cofrin Arboretum…at that meet, Hurst took first and paced the field by 33 seconds…can realistically shoot for the Horizon League title in 2001. UWM Track: Runs at various longer distances, but has been strongest in the 5000…was the first runner in school history to do the 3000 steeplechase, recording a 11:37.95 time at the MCC Championships to establish the school record. Little Chute: Was a nine-time letterman, earning four in both cross country and track and one in basketball…qualified for state in cross, finishing fourth in 1998…helped the Mustangs 3200 relay team to the WIAA State Championship in 1999 one year after taking second by less than a second…was a National Honor Society Scholarship Nominee.
