UWM Cross Country: Will give cross country a shot after a successful season of sprints for the track team…has cross country experience, having lettered in the sport all four years at Reedsburg…had good speed; will use the cross country season to develop endurance.


UWM Track: A sprinter, ran such events as the 55/60, 100, the 200 and the 400 in 2000…posted the third best 55 time in the conference at the UWM Invite, going the length of the Klotsche Center straightaway in 7.56 seconds…ran the the 400 in 59.76 seconds at the MCC Outdoor Championships, good enough for fourth, while also running the 100 in 13.05 and the 200 in 26.71, all season bests.

Reedsburg: Lettered nine times in high school, with four coming in both cross country and track and one coming in basketball…was a three-time South Central Conference champion in the 100, 200 and 400 events…finished third in the state in the 400 and helped her 4x400 team to a seventh place finish at the state meet as a senior…holds three school records (the 100, the 200 and the 400) and helped set two more (the 4x100 and the 4x400)…was a guard when on the basketball court…won the Wisconsin Women’s Sport Advocates Award in January 2000…was on the Honor Roll througout her Reedsburg years.


Personal: Daughter of Joe and Bernice…also runs for the Milwaukee Striders team…would like to become a high school English teacher and coach track…enjoys writing and meeting new people…has spent time as a receptionist at a Wisconsin Dells resort…has been active in Earth Day-related volunteer projects since 1997.
