MILWAUKEE - Freshman Kyle Huebner (Sun Prairie, Wis.-Sun Prairie) was named the MCC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced yesterday. Huebner was recognized for his outstanding performance over the weekend at the Wisconsin Twilight in Madison.

Huebner recorded personal bests in three field events going up against competition from the Big Ten. The freshman's day was highlighted by placing second in the javelin with a throw of 163'0.00". He also jumped 6'04.75" in the high jump and vaulted 14'03.25" in the pole vault. His performance in the javelin and pole vault tops the MCC charts this season, while he ranks second in the high jump.

Huebner and the rest of the Panthers get set to travel to Indianapolis for the 2001 MCC Championship Meet on Thursday. Events being at 3 p.m.
