MILWAUKEE - Sophomore Kyle Huebner was named Horizon League Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Washington University Mini-Meet last weekend, the league office announced today. This is the second time in his career Huebner has been honored by the league, having been named athlete of the week a year ago.

Huebner won the pole vault at Washington University with a personal-best effort of 14'6". He also took fourth in the high jump with a jump of 6'2 3/4" and was fifth in the javelin with a throw of 148'7".

Huebner is the first Panther to earn the honor during the 2002 outdoor season. Ken Hunt was named athlete of the week on Jan. 24 for his efforts during indoor track season.

The Panthers return to action this weekend when they travel to West Lafayette, Ind., for the Purdue Invitational.
