MILWAUKEE (Jan. 24, 2002) - Ken Hunt, a junior jump and sprint specialist, was named Horizon League Athlete of the Week late yesterday.

Hunt took first place in the triple jump on Saturday at the Carthage Invitational in Kenosha, Wis. Hunt's jump measured 48'9 1/2" and ranks first in the league as of Jan. 24. He also added a second place finish in the long jump and a fourth place finish in the 55M dash to help the Panthers finish second in the field of eight teams.

Hunt and the rest of the Panther track teams will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Indianapolis for the Butler Invitational. The meet begins at 3 p.m. CST.
