Pete Corfeld named MCC Coach of the Year after leading his men's team to its second consecutive title.

INDIANAPOLIS - The UWM men's track team, coming off the 1999 MCC Indoor Championship, and the 1998 Indoor and Outdoor Championship, won its fourth consecutive MCC title at the 1999 MCC Outdoor Track and Field Championships

Leading the way for the Panthers was a Paul McGinley, a junior from Wisconsin Rapids. McGinley competed in seven events, and even more incredibly, placed in all seven. For his efforts, he was named the Outstanding Performer of the meet.

McGinley won the javelin and pole vault, took second in the long jump and 110 hurdles, took third in the discus and high jump and placed fourth in the shot put.

UWM coach Pete Corfeld won his ninth Coach of the Year honor for leading the Panthers to the title.

The UWM women finished in second place at the meet.
