Wheaton, Ill. - The UWM men's swimming team took first place in the nine-team Wheaton Invitational field this weekend, while the women's squad took second.

The men scored 968 points during the two-day event and were led by first-place finishes by Joel White (400 IM, 500 free), Kevin Van Den Wymelenberg (200 free) and Andrew Babcock (100 fly, 200 fly).

The women scored 697 points and finished behind Wheaton. Randi Fletcher won the 100 backstroke at the Wheaton Invitational.
