Milwaukee - UWM swimmers and divers sit on top in 10 events, according to MCC rankings released today.

Senior co-captain Kevin Van Den Wymelenberg (Green Bay, Wis./Preble) leads the MCC in two events: the 100 free and the 200 individual medley. Senior Andrew Babcock (Verona, Wis./Verona) has turned in the MCC’s best time in the 100 fly. His brother, sophomore Dan Babcock (Verona, Wis./Verona) ranks second in the event.

Bill Kuri (Wauwatosa, Wis./Milwaukee Marquette) leads the MCC in the 100 back, and Todd Hill (West Bend, Wis./East) leads in 3-meter diving. Three Panther relay teams — the 400 free, the 800 free and the 400 medley relays — also lead the MCC.

Other Panther swimmers on the men’s side who rank in the league’s top six are Matt Schamaling (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower), Peter Clark (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Whitefish Bay), Davd Faust (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie), John Bonnell (Appleton, Wis./North) and Adam Stoelting (Kiel, Wis./Kiel)

On the women’s side, Rachel Smith (Superior, Wis./Superior) leads all MCC competitors in both the 100 and the 200 breaststroke.

Other Panther swimmers on the women’s side who rank in the league’s top six are Kelly Goetsch (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth), Jenny Theis (Chaska, Minn./Chaska), Erin Pollyea (Lincolnwood, Wis./Niles West, Erin Schneider (Sussex, Wis./Hartland Arrowhead), Krystina Herzog (Racine, Wis./Horlick), Amanda Maas (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth) and Erin Hallen (Middleton, Wis./Middleton).

MCC rankings are released every two weeks and include performances from swimmers at all league schools that sponsor swimming and diving programs.
