MILWAUKEE - The MCC announced Tuesday that sophomore swimmer Peter Clark (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Whitefish Bay) was named the MCC Men's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week.

Clark won three individual events in the Panthers' meet against Wheaton College over the weekend. In the 200 fly, Clark's time of 2:00.31 was 13.5 seconds better than the second place finisher. The sophomore swimmer won the 200 free and 500 free with times of 1:46.21 and 4:50.87, respectively.

The Panthers defeated Wheaton College when the two teams met on Friday night, winning in 15 of the 26 swimming events. The wins were the first of the season for each team, with the women evening their record at 1-1 and the men improving to 1-2.

Up next for both Panther squads are MCC dual meets on Friday and Saturday night. On Friday, Butler and Northern Illinois will come to the Klotsche Center pool, and on Saturday the Panthers will welcome UIC and Iowa. Both meets begin at 5 p.m.
