Milwaukee - Swimmer Kelly Goetsch was named Horizon League Athlete of the Week, the league office announced today.

Goetsch, a senior from Plymouth, Wis., earned the honor based on her performances this weekend in a pair of dual meets against Wheaton and Western Illinois. Goetsch took first place in the 100 free in both meets, and also added a third in the 200 free against Wheaton. Goetsch also swam the anchor leg of the 400 free relay that came up just short of first place against Wheaton, finishing three-tenths of a second off first place.

The Panthers return to the pool this Saturday when they head to Cedar Falls, Iowa, for a triangular meet with Northern Iowa and Illinois-Chicago. The meet begins at 3 p.m.
