UWM's Beth Watt Named MCC Athlete of the Week

MILWAUKEE - UWM sophomore swimmer Beth Watt (Waukesha, Wis./West) has been named MCC Women's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced today.

In UWM's hosted meet against Western Kentucky, Watt won the 200 fly with a lifetime-best 2:12.36. She also swam the first leg of the 400 freestyle relay and the second leg of the 400-medley relay, with both teams taking second place in their respective events.

UWM's swimming and diving teams hosted the meet against Western Kentucky at the Klotsche Center Pool on October 19th. The women took first place in four events, including the 3-meter diving. The Panthers lost the meet to WKU by a score of 137-109.

The Panther women will participate next at the Northwestern Relays at Northwestern University on October 29th.
