MILWAUKEE--UWM swimming and diving coach Dave Clark announced today that Rebecca Rubel (Grafton, Wis./Grafton) has signed a National Letter of Intent.

Rubel, a 5-8 diver, qualified for state in the 1-meter event four years in a row, and was a four-time MVP at Grafton High School. On her club team, Rubel competed in the 1-meter, 3-meter, and platform diving events. She qualified for Junior Olympic Nationals and placed third at the YMCA Nationals. She also competed on her high school gymnastics team and was a two-time MVP.

"Becky is an excellent student-athlete," Clark said. "I expect that she will be very competitive both on our elite women's diving team and in our conference from the start. Her state and national experience should really help our program."
