UWM Swimming Adds Seventh Student-Athlete To Roster
Adam Steffes is the latest to join the Panthers for the 2001-02 season.
June 25, 2001 MILWAUKEE-UWM swimming and diving coach Dave Clark announced the addition of Adam Steffes (Madison, Wis.-LaFollette) to the 2001-02 roster. Steffes is the seventh swimmer to sign with UWM, joining Michael Belting, Carey Kammel, Sean Trepper, John Batty, Julie Olson and Kim Bach to compete in the upcoming season. At 6-foot-5, Steffes will compete in sprints for the Panthers. He is a three-time individual state finalist in the sprint freestyle and was named his high school team's MVP twice. "Adam is a great addition to our team," Clark said. "Along with being a solid student, he has great athletic talent. As he did in his four years of high school swimming, I expect him to improve steadily and quickly to become a factor in the Horizon League." 2001-02 UWM SIGNEES Name Event Hometown (High School) Adam Steffes Sprints Madison, Wis.
