MILWAUKEE - Two more student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to attend UWM in the fall. Kyle Fyock of Mequon, Wis., and Tim Watt of Waukesha, Wis., will continue their swimming careers at UWM.

Fyock is a four-time finalist in the Division I state championships the past two years, finishing as high as second in the 100 breaststroke this year. He also finished fourth in the 200 IM and sixth in the 100 breaststroke a year ago, and was sixth in the 100 freestyle this season. Fyock was also a member of three state-championship teams at Mequon High School.

"Kyle comes from a team that knows how to win," head coach Dave Clark said. "He will bring a winning attitude to the program as well as his solid work effort. Kyle will be a real "go-to" guy from the start of the season."

Watt, from Waukesha West High School, is a seven-time state finalist in Division I. Watt finished second in the 50 freestyle and third in the 100 freestyle at the state championships as a sophomore, and was second in the 50 and fifth in the 100 as a junior. This season, Watt finished fourth in both the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle. He will join his sister, Beth, who will be a senior swimming for UWM next season.

"Tim is a great student-athlete who has had an impact on Wisconsin swimming for quite a while," Clark said. "He has been a consistent threat in any sprint event in the state. Tim will be a great asset in our sprint relays and remain a threat in the sprint events."

The pair join five others who have already signed to compete at UWM. Matthew Carlson of Hoffmann Estates, Ill., Jeff Jasinowski of Bayside, Wis., Brandon Kipp of Shorewood, Wis., Ryan Frohmader of Verona, Wis., and Rob Vergeer of West Bend, Wis. have already committed to attend UWM this fall.

The UWM men's swimming and diving team finished fourth at this year's Horizon League Championships, held Feb. 27-March 3 in Chicago. The Panthers also excel in the classroom, having been named Academic All-America as a team by the College Swim Coaches of America Association as recently as this past fall.
