21st Consecutive Semester

MILWAUKEE - The UWM womens swimming and diving team earned Academic All-America Team honors for the Fall 1998 semester, the CSCAA announced late last week. This marks the 21st consecutive semester the team has won this award.

"This shows that our emphasis is in the correct place with the term student-athlete," said Head Coach Dave Clark. "Our people get a great education and still have success in the pool. It puts a lot of pressure on the team because they dont want to end it, but theyre very proud that they could continue this."

The team had a cumulative 3.081 GPA for the semester, ranking them 36th out of all NCAA Division I schools.
