MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's swimming and diving team has been named Academic All-American for the 24th consecutive semester, the National Swim Coaches Association of America announced.

The women's team accumulated a 3.203 grade point average on a four-point scale. The team ranked 24th among NCAA Division I universities, tied with Notre Dame and ahead of some nationally known institutions such as Virginia (3.19), Penn State (3.18), and Northwestern (3.168). Manhattan College paced all teams with a 3.52 overall GPA.

"It is always wonderful to compete with the best teams in the country and the best arena to do that in is academics," said UWM coach Dave Clark. "That is where their future will be."
