UW-Milwaukee defeated Valparaiso 127-98 in Indiana Saturday afternoon.UWM women's swimming and diving team captured a victory in Indiana Saturday afternoon against Valparaiso.

The Panthers dominated the meet by winning all but three events, led by Peter Clark and Nic Sedier, who tallied two first-place finishes apiece. Clark won the 200 free and 200 fly, and Seider won both diving events.

Panthers Jamie Mantle, Matt Schmaling, Josh Baseheart, Goran Vukovljak and David Faust each won an event for the Panthers. Vukovljak teamed with Arick Severson, Justin O'Keefe and Adam Hanson for a victory in the 200 medley relay in 1:28.97.

The Panther men wrapped up their overall dual meet record with the win, placing them at 4-7 on the season with the MCC Championships still to come Feb. 21-24.

The women Panthers struggled to pull away from Valparaiso early, but were able to gain a lead late in the meet as UWM won the last six events.

Leading the way for the Panthers was a trio of freshman, Jen Kedinger, Kathleen Owen and Becky Rubel and sophomore Amanda Chan. Kedinger won the 100 and 200 freestyles, Owen won the 200 back and contributed to a relay victory and Rubel won both diving events. Chan won the 200 breast and 1,000 free for the Panthers.

Danielle Bradley and Amanda Schmitt were also victorious in the 200 IM and 500 free, respectively. The 200 medley relay team of Owen, Kedinger, Beth Watt and Jenny Behr placed first in 1:42.81.

The win improved the women's record to 6-5 in dual meets. The MCC Championships are up next for the Panthers Feb. 21-24.
