2001-2002: Missed the first half of the season due to a problem regarding his school transcripts...made his debut at the Bill Ritter Invitational and finished first in the 100 and 200 backstroke and finished third in the 100 butterfly...set a new school and freshman record, as well as a career-best in the 200 backstroke at the Horizon League Championships with a time of 1:51.00...also finished third in the 100 back at the league meet with a new personal best...added an eighth place finish at the league championships and was named the league's Newcomer of the Year. Personal Notes: Mechanical engineering major...was born in Cudahy, Wis....parents are Steve and Maggy...qualified for the finals of both the 100m and 200m back in England's Olympic Trials...would like to make the U.S. Olympic Trials.
