The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's soccer and volleyball squads are once again teaming up to host the Run For The Roses fundraiser.

The sixth-annual event, scheduled for Sat., May 2, in conjunction with the 135th running of the Kentucky Derby, serves as the main fundraiser for both programs.

Tickets are $30 per person if purchased by April 22 or $35 per person after that date. Raffle tickets are also available at $10 per ticket or three tickets for $25.

The fundraiser will run from 3-6:30 p.m. at the Klotsche Center on the UWM campus. Those in attendance will be able to watch the Kentucky Derby on a 20-foot projection screen. The event also includes a dinner buffet, live jazz music, a raffle, silent auction and cash bar.

Among the raffle items are a Honda Metropolitan Scooter, a MacBook Laptop Computer, two round-trip tickets on Air Tran Airways, a specialized Comfort Bike and an iPod "Touch."
